Shamrock Fest 2009 and visit from Grandma

This weekend was great! On Saturday we went to the DC Shamrock Fest. It was SO fun. We got to see Ceann and Carbon Leaf - two way awesome bands. For Ceann - we got there early enough that we were in the very front - and could actually interact with them as they set up. It was my 2nd time seeing them, and both times, it was in a small enough venue that I could interact with them. They are funny guys. Carbon Leaf was awesome too. By the time they came on we were pretty wet - but it was all good - we came prepared. Anyway - it was one of those bands where people REALLY got into it - and at times it became dangerous! Shoes flying everywhere, bodies being passed above crowds... Very good time.

This weekend my mom was in town for a conference, so Max and I met her in Chinatown for dinner. Max had a very good time seeing Grandma - and I think it is safe to say that Grandma enjoyed Max. Max also loved seeing the big 'Gate' and going under it. Very fun!
