Train Trip to Richmond, VA

This week, Max finally got his LONG awaited train trip! If you haven't figured it out, Max is a huge train LOVER - he really loves trains. My mom had to come to DC for a conference, so she arranged it so she arrived a day early, and we took the train from Washington DC to Richmond, VA.

Max loved the train. There was a snack car on the train, and he thought it was great fun to be able to walk all the way through and between the different cars to get up to the snack car. He loved looking out the window to see farms, or construction, and even other trains! He didn't enjoy feeling very motion-sick...

Once we arrived in Richmond, Max got to take his very first TAXI ride! We took the taxi to the Richmond's Children's Museum - which was awesome! It was at exactly Max's level - he loved every single minute of it.

Finally, at the end of the day - we took the taxi back to the train station, and then took the train back to DC where dad was waiting to pick up Max and take him for the weekend. What a fun, exciting trip!

Sounds like so much fun! Thomas would love to do something like that. You are so lucky to be living where you have opportunities like that. I hope you are doing well, say hi to your mom if she is still there.
